| It is very good news that this game is back in print, it is one of my favorites. It was also a favorite of my team of middle schoolers preparing for Destination Imagination (creative problem solving) competition. It was great fun using A to Z as a warm up for thinking quickly and outside the box. The game is very adaptable to different ages, interests, and educational levels. Simple concept is easy to learn and open to players' creativity. Play individually or as teams. On your turn, you flip up a category card. There are 52 cards with 6 categories apiece. Examples: Shapes, Islands, Breeds of Cats, Things you take to the Beach, Things that make Noise, Brands of Chewing Gum. (or make up your own categories). Start the mechanical timer for 15 or 30 seconds, depending on your roll. Then start naming things that fit the category. On your game board, use a chip to cover the initial letter of each item you name. Cover all 26 letters first and you win. A fun twist is that you occasionally get to reverse the process, removing chips from the opponentsí boards for each item you name. Game includes four game boards, 52 category cards, plastic scoring chips, dice, timer, and instructions. |
