| This clever little game is about ...
bean farming? (A bilingual pun, Bohn is the German
word for bean.) Bohnanza is an original thanks to its light-hearted artwork and innovative rules of play. Players must trade and, occasionally, even donate cards to each other in order to succeed, so this is one of the most interactive games around. Each player has two bean fields in
which to plant. Only one type of bean can be planted
in each field. Wait until the time is right, and
harvest the beans for cash! Check the "beanometer" at
the bottom of your bean cards to see how much cash you
get. You need four of the plentiful Coffee Beans to
make a profit, but only two of the rare Red Beans.
Since you *have* to plant the first bean in your hand
each turn, trading, wheeling, and dealing between the
players is an important part of the game. Special rules
for a two player game makes this a great choice for
any number of players from 2-7. Artwork is very cute,
and anyone playing this game is sure to develop an
attachment for a particular kind of bean. My personal
favorite are the cute, "peacenik" Soy Beans. Author / Inventor: Uwe Rosenberg |
