"Wise and Otherwise is a charming, elegant addition to the Dictionary or Balderdash family of games. It has 2,500 wise, funny, and obscure old sayings from around the world. One player reads the first part an actual but little known old saying aloud. Then each player makes up his own ending. You earn points by fooling other players with your saying or by guessing the actual ending.

What could your friends and family do with sayings that begin like these? "Your dog wishes you.... "He that has plenty of pepper... "If your sword is short.... "He that has a great nose...

We sometimes take the cards from Wise and Otherwise, leaving box and board at home, to use as a travel game. Fun to play in the car.
