New Yorker Cartoon Caption Game
Our Price: $29.95

Each player writes a caption to a cartoon from New Yorker magazine.  Whomever is "it" this turn guesses who wrote each one.  Players score for guessing right and for fooling others.  Like Balderdash, only much funnier!

From the publisher:

Based on The New Yorker’s popular Cartoon Caption Contest comes a game of immeasurable creativity, unmatched wit, and uproarious humor…and you are responsible for, well, most of it. If a picture speaks a thousand words, surely you can come up with a few of your own in this hilarious game of ‘which player wrote which caption’. And don’t worry about not being funny. In a game like this, even the ‘bad’ captions are part of the fun!
Wise and Otherwise
Our Price: $42.95

"Wise and Otherwise is a charming, elegant addition to the Dictionary or Balderdash family of games. It has 2,500 wise, funny, and obscure old sayings from around the world. One player reads the first part an actual but little known old saying aloud. Then each player makes up his own ending. You earn points by fooling other players with your saying or by guessing the actual ending.

What could your friends and family do with sayings that begin like these? "Your dog wishes you.... "He that has plenty of pepper... "If your sword is short.... "He that has a great nose...

We sometimes take the cards from Wise and Otherwise, leaving box and board at home, to use as a travel game. Fun to play in the car.

Khet (formerly Deflexion)
Our Price: $41.95
Sale Price: $37.95

This game was published in 2005 as "Deflexion" and due to a copyright dispute was renamed Khet in 2006.

This game is unique. It combines lasers with classic strategy for an experience enjoyed by players of all ages. Players alternate turns moving Egyptian themed mirrored pieces around the playing field after which they fire their low powered laser diode with the goal of illuminating their opponent's pieces to eliminate them from the game. Much like chess and other strategy games, players are forced to think about the playing field as a whole.

Learning to play is easy, because unlike chess, each piece moves the same way. The hard part is keeping your pharaoh safe all while trying to zap your opponent. Contains: board, 24 plastic pieces, instructions and batteries.

Accessory pieces The Eye of Horus and The Tower of Kadesh add new dimensions and possibilities to the game.  They are sold separately.
You've Been Sentenced !

From the publisher:

What kind of sentence can you build using just ten cards?  Challenge your ingenuity and quick wit by creating a sentence from 50 random words.  Grammar counts!  And remember to watch for those rare high score words to boost your point total, plus the specially marked wild cards.  Be prepared to defend your creation, because presenting your case to the jury is half the fun!  First player to reach 200 points is the official Sentence champ.

Contains: 540 playing cards, scoresheets, rules
